I photograph weddings and portraits across Southern California. My work leans editorial, but the priority is always the real stuff: how you are with each other, what the day actually felt like. The images just happen to be beautiful too.
Every session starts the same way. I find the right light and background, guide your posture and positioning so you feel comfortable and look your best, then step back and let the genuine moments happen. You don't need to perform or overthink it. Just be present and I’ll handle the rest.
I've been shooting professionally since 2018. I'm steady, pay attention to the details, and keep the process simple and enjoyable from first conversation to final gallery. My editing is clean and natural: true skin tones, real color, nothing trendy. I shoot film, and I love black and white for the moments that hit harder without color. Your photos should look just as good in twenty years.

About Rick Raasch
I'm Rick, a photographer and videographer based in Long Beach, California. I've been shooting weddings and families across Southern California since 2018.
Growing up as a musician taught me how to listen before I play. Drumming gave me rhythm, feel, and a sense of when to lead, when to hang back, and how to support the people around me. That carries into how I shoot. I'm also a home cook and a pretty serious coffee person.
I'm a family man. My wife, our baby, and our dog are the best part of my life and a constant reminder that time doesn't slow down for anyone.
I believe you were made in the image of God, and your story deserves to be told with honesty and care. That's why I do this. Not just to make beautiful photos, but because the people in them matter.
